Gwent Theatre turns to the oral tradition of Greek Theatre and using actors, music and puppets, takes its audience on a journey of exploration and discovery
The story of Orpheus and Euridice by Philip Michell.
Orpheus will soon be king, but refuses to rule by the sword. The god Apollo gives him an extraordinary gift. Through the power of music, Orpheus is able to tame wild animals and even rivers will change their course to hear his song.
But when tragedy strikes, Orpheus descends into the Underworld and meets ferocious beasts and strange gods in his quest to find his bride Eurydice.
