Am yr eildro, y mae Catherine Aran, Dynes Dweud Stori ‘swyddogol’ Gwynedd, yn ymuno ag AGOR DRYSAU i adrodd hanesion o bob rhan o’r byd. Bydd yn ein harwain i fyd llawn cewri a gwrachod, corachod a thylwyth teg, gan syfrdanu’r gynulledifa wrth iddynt glywed lleisiau a gweld cysgodion cymeriadau o wledydd y gorffennol. Y mae Cath, a ddechreuodd ei gyrfa ym myd y theatr, yn dilyn hen draddodiad y ‘Cyfarwydd’ oedd yn diddanu’r Tywysogion Cymreig yn eu llysoedd o’r 6ed ganrif ymlaen. Ei llysoedd, erbyn hyn, yw ysgolion, colegau, neuaddau pentrefi – a gŵyliau yng Nghymru a thramor. |

Cath Aran, the ‘official’ storyteller for Gwynedd, joins AGOR DRYSAU-OPENING DOORS to recount tales from all over the world. She will whisk us away to a world full of giants and witches, goblins and fairies, and enthral her audience as they hear the voices and see the shadows of characters from lands long ago. Cath, who began her career in theatre, follows a great tradition of the ‘Cyfarwydd’ or storytellers who entertained in the courts of the Welsh Princes since the 6th century. Cath’s courts are now schools, colleges, community halls and festivals. Following her last appearance at AGOR DRYSAU she was invited to perform in Canada and Ireland. We're very pleased to welcome her back.
